The
seventh edition of this Map-fair will be held again in Hotel Ambassador, in the heart of Paris, just 2 minutes from
the famous Opera Garnier and the major department stores, also
located near Montmartre and the Louvre museum.
The fair is a one-day event (Saturday November 8th) ; with an cocktail reception and dinner on Friday night. Reservation for the dinner is required and open to all, seat availability is limited, reserve now.

Paris has much to offer, beside this fair you are able to visit hundreds of book shops, many of them selling maps and prints. We are delighted to welcome you to enjoy the (Map) Spitits of Paris.

vieux papiers. Printracks In a deluxe size stand (2x3meters) you may order 2 or 3. Offcourse you are free in using your own print racks. During set-up hours (7.00-11.00) the organization will allow only those
persons who are registered. The mapdealer may not have assistants
who are map dealers in their own right or who represent map businesses
other than that of the registered dealer.

Stand holders will be listed on this MAP-FAIR.com
web site, with a link to their own sites. This will be effective
for the whole of 2008. [sample] Dealers set-up 07.00 - 11.00h. Opening hours
public 11.00 - 18.00h. Security will be provided. A stand include one 1x1 or one1x2 meters table,
chair(s);and light. Print racks (dealer provided) may be substituted
for one or more tables.
EXTRAS
Rear screening for displaying
maps of 2 meters wide;by 2.30 meters high is optional and must be ordered
before July 27th. Extra costs are EURO 120 +
22,73 TVA for 2 meters wide.
De Luxe stands may order 2 or 3 meters rear screening. (Cost for 3
meters screen is EURO
If you do not order rear screening,
you can not display items in the rear. It is not allowed to
stitch items on the Hotel wall.
If you are traveling
light and you still want to present your maps in a print rack we have good
news.
For EURO 30 + 5,68 TVA we offer a print racks for rent. In
a standard size stand (2x2meters) you can rent one print rack when
you have decided for a 80x180cm table. In case you choose for a 80x80cm
table you can have two print racks.
PAYMENT OF STAND
Participants are requested to pay the due
amount in EUROS before July 14th. 2008.
BADGES
Please
collect immediately at arrival on November 10th your badges at the
Map-Fair registration desk in the lobby of the Hotel Ambassador. Please wear your badges all day. They are the only way our staff can
recognize you and let you in and out. SECURITY
We will be
providing guards throughout the day, who will patrol the entrance doors
during set-up hours, and ensure that visitors' small packages and bags are
checked in to the cloakroom on arrival and that on leaving the hall all
visitors' purchases are marked with a "Sold" sticker. WRAPPING DESK A wrapping desk is
available providing packing paper for packing your sold items. At a
nominal fee of 3 EURO hard tubes with plastic closings are
available for purchase. PARKING
We have
reserved 5 parking lots in front of the hotel on Saturday from
7.00-9.00h for unloading your car. After you are finished unloading you
have to remove your car immediately. The nearest car parking is
at Drouot and Galeries Lafayette. During break-down hours we have
reserved also 5 parking lots and you are requested to remove your car
immediately after finishing. The hotel Ambassador has valet parking
which need to be ordered in advance; after unpacking your
car, an hotel employee can park your car for you. The parking fee will be
added to your hotel bill. Please check this option at your registration
form to reserve valet parking.
STORAGE
Also this year we have reserved a special room where you can store your items
the day before set-up. Storage is only for guests at the Hotel
ambassador, and at your own risk; neither the Hotel or the organisation
can be held responsable for any loss.
Hotel bell-boys are available to assist you by carrying items in and out the hotel, or in and out your hotel room. A
flat fee of € 5.00 will be added to your hotel bill. Use of this room is for free.
Please check this option at your registration form to reserve help of a bell boy carrying your maps in and out.. OPEN FOR THE PUBLIC

11, at 11.00 The closing will be at 18.00 h. 35 International map

OTHERS
Make your visit more profitable and visit one or more of the 20 shops of
Paris who are offering maps, prints and travel-related books. Or the hundreds
of other book shops and bouquinistes along the
River Seine.
Paris is still one of the best places to buy your maps and prints.

Moulin Rouge.
