Author of 'Nieuwe Beschrhryvinghe ende caertboeck van de Midlantsche Zee', the first printed pilot-guide of the Mediterranean. It is considered the supplement of Waghenaer's 'Spieghel der Zeevaerdt' for the Mediterranean waters.
